From the heart of Aguascalientes, Cura Angustias is a triple distilled mezcal made from agave salmiana that honors the roots, family legends and wisdom of the ancients. Inspired by the mythical figure of the tortoise Cura Angustias -symbol of calm, healing and resilience-, this mezcal seeks to be a spiritual remedy in modern times. Its essence combines the strength of the desert with the wisdom of generations, offering an experience that transcends the palate and becomes a ritual.

Why did they look for us?

José Encarnación, grandson of the honoree and current guardian of the family legacy, sought us out to transform the perception of the brand. Although the product had history and quality, its visual identity did not reflect its depth or its potential in premium markets. The challenge was clear: redesign to transcend, without losing the soul.

We carried out an integral redesign of the visual identity, starting from the legacy and taking it to a new dimension:

New label that fuses tradition with contemporary design, with original illustration of the mythical turtle.
More elegant bottle design, designed to compete on high-end shelves.
Merchandising that transmits mysticism: cups, posters, postcards and textiles with mezcal phrases and symbols.
Development of a visual storytelling that connects the myth with the mezcal experience.

Results

Cura Angustias went from being a regional mezcal to a proposal with a strong and aspirational identity. The redesign achieved: Greater attraction in high-end points of sale. Interest from international distributors. Recognition of its cultural and graphic value at specialized fairs. A coherent narrative that strengthens its positioning as a "remedy for the soul".
